Kayak Parade for Kim Paddlers come together in support of Kim Murphy in her fight against breast cancer! Bring your decorated kayak or canoe and wear your pink attire as you paddle the Chattahoochee River from Hardley Creek Park to Downtown River Park in West Point on Saturday, August 27th. Paddlers can launch between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Concession Concessions will be available with T-shirts and raffle tickets. Kayak Rental GLL Marine will be on hand with kayak rentals on a first-come, first-served basis. $50 includes registration and a kayak. Kayaks are limited, so pre-register to reserve your kayak. Troup Saddle Club Races Savor some cowboy culture at the Troup County Saddle Club rodeo races at Pyne Road Park on the first Friday of every month from March through October, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Free admission! Races Twenty to fifty riders compete in the following: Barrel race Pole bending race Texas barrel race Flag race Arena race The three classes are (1) children under ten years of age, (2) ages 10 to 18, and (3) 19 to geezers. Concession What about dinner? No problem! Mosey on over to the full concession stand, which offers hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, pickles, candy, canned sodas, and bottled water.
