Grab the towels, grab the kids, and head to one of West Point Lake’s three beaches. With few to no waves, these beach settings are ideal for children to swim and build sand castles, and is the number one destination for sunbathers. The panoramic views and the park’s many amenities make these beaches a great getaway for the whole family. Make the most of it, and come prepared to spend a fun filled family day swimming, sun bathing, playing tennis, kayaking, and barbecuing.
Beaches are open from the beginning of summer through Labor Day in September. Entry fee is $5 per vehicle. All beaches have a no-alcohol policy, and pets are not permitted on the beach. Beaches are cordoned off as no-wake zones. Life jacket loaner stations are located at the gate house at each of the three parks, and throw rings are available on the beaches for emergencies.
Earl Cook Beach is located within Earl Cook Park, and includes amenities such as an outdoor shower, restrooms, water fountains, playground, tennis and basketball courts, multi-use ball field, boat ramp and dock, picnic tables and pavilions, and hiking.
Rocky Point Beach is located within Rocky Point Park, and is an ideal location for family gatherings. Enjoy park amenities such as a fishing pier, hiking, playground, outdoor shower, basketball and tennis courts, multi-use ball field, boat ramp and dock, picnic tables and pavilions.
Yellowjacket Beach is located within Yellowjacket Creek Park, and includes amenities such as an outdoor shower, restrooms, water fountains, playground, picnic tables and pavilions, tennis court, and a boat ramps and docks.
